POETRY
KEN BARNES

WHAT'S YOUR INSPIRATION TO WRITE:
My inspiration usually comes from some recent personal happening. I use my poetry usually to tell the world what I'm dealing with but hide the true meaning behind metaphors and hyperbole.

POETS YOU LOOK UP TO:
Black Ice, Saul Williams, Sunni Patterson, Kanye West, Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Talib Kweli; since Rap and Hip Hop is Poetry put to music a majority of my top musicians are people I look to as poetic elite.

FAVORITE HIP-HOP SONG:
 J.B August - I Just Wanna

WHAT'S NEXT FOR YOU:
I plan on finishing 3 more poems by February, working on some major events in BR, open up a second company, place in nationals for wrestling,  launch the Knightcrawler Website and take a nap somewhere in between

HOW OFTEN DO YOU WRITE:
I write as often as I have something to say and time to record it (about 2-5 a month)

YOUR STYLE OF WRITING:
I don't have a style per se, I just go with the flow and let my words fall into its own form

The Die
I'm falling and wishing to be caught
hiding and wishing to be sought

im drowning and need to be brought ashore
infected and need the cure

i'm suffocating and need air
burnt       and need intense care

I'm trapped and need a key
blinded and cant see

that

death is near, and i don't know what to do
I'm dying and it doesn't even matter to you
Stuck in Neutral
I took you for granted
I thought you would never leave

i mean stay by my side
cus every where i went u was down to RIDE

Maybe I threw you around too much
or maybe i neglected just enuff

so many times i would leave u at home to be with others
now i see i shouldnt have put yu after no other

What ever it was i wish i could rewind and clean my mistake up
because my life is in neutral until we make up

Misplaced
but can never be replaced

Every night I pray for your return on bruised knees
I mean i can't get around with out my CAR KEYS
